i’m back online!

it’s been quite a long time since i’ve kept a public blog. in fact, rox.org first went online back in 1997, over 10 years ago!
digging through my archives, i’ve even found some of the old designs i made at various times. check them out. this is when splash pages were “cool”.
beware! lots of dead ends and dead links ahead.
first design: fairly basic with mysterious content navigation. this was my first attempt at an online portfolio. i love jeeps.
second design: a new edward gorey inspired splash page, and the beginning of a real blog. circa 1999.
third design: just a new splash page. scanning old homemade envelopes from friends blended analog and digital.
fourth design: another new splash, complete with my maurice sendak obsession. final design before the blog went private.

So what brought you back to the open internet? And I’m curious what you mean by “the blog went private” but I don’t want to pry.

I’m giving the whole blog-o-sphere a try, now that it’s much easier to publish and manage. We’ll see what happens.
I took the domain private which meant I had some sites configured for friends and family only.
