quarterlife: distorted view of twenty somethings?

Date February 27, 2008

Well, it looks like Quarterlife debuted to an epic fail.  NBC appears to be trying to capitalize on the perceived plight of 20 somethings.  Fraught with gen-y stereotypes, too; the overlooked starry-eyed writer/blogger,  hipster film school director trying to break into commercials, basement dwelling socially awkward geek, and the sex-crazed struggling actress with emotional baggage.

Maybe I’m just jealous about the explosive popularity of the main character’s video blog.  In the first episode, it looks like she spent a small fortune on modding wordpress and SEO to have one of the most popular blogs in the city.  Unfortunately it misses the mark in so many areas, I can’t continue to talk about it.  In fact, I’ve already said too much!

Status: removed from DVR after 1st episode.  Back to Parking Wars!
